What is a Dashboard?

Simply, a collection of charts. You can create as many Dashboards as you like, naming them whatever you would like. Some people may set up dashboards, and then have all the charts filtering for specific teams or users, but you will not decide what shows up on the Dashboard until you start creating charts.

The Dashboard is the collection of charts, and the charts display the data related to the teams/users you choose.

Creating a Dashboard

You will not have any Dashboards created at first. Use the + in the top left to create a new Dashboard.

After creation, you will be prompted to create charts to populate that Dashboard.

A couple things you need to know about your Dashboards:

  • At this time, they cannot be shared. This is an option that will be added so that you can have collaborators or people with view only permission viewing the content you build.
  • You can create as many Dashboards as you would like. No restrictions on amount or who you will be able to share them with (as long as they are a 90 user).
  • If you are a Manager or Managee role in the account, you still have full permissions to create as many Dashboards as you would like, but when you start adding charts it will only be for those you have access to in 90.

Edit Dashboards

Use the pencil icon to open a menu to:

  • Update the Dashboard Name
  • Edit Display Mode for this Dashboard (more details here)
  • Delete the Dashboard
Click the pencil icon to get to Edit Dashboard options.

More options will be found here in the future like updating the coloring, inviting other users to collaborate, and more.

It looks like we can only create dashboards for the “leadership team”? And if I am not a member of that team, I can create the dashboard but only view/see/preview the data from teams I have access rights too?

@kpieper876 The charts you create will be restricted to the team’s you are actually a part of. So you should still find all of the above true. You can create as many dashboards as you would like, and then when you start adding charts to them you will see the only teams you have in view are the ones you have access to in 90

How do I change the “team” for which I am creating a dashboard?

Dashboards are not connected to teams. They are just a unique collection of charts that you create. So you wont get into team filtering until you are setting up a specific chart!

Summary to confirm I understand how it should work:

  1. I created a dashboard (LT team of which I am not a member)
  2. I created 2 charts: rocks, scorecard
    1. Rocks chart :
      1. If I select no filter, only my rock status is reported
      2. If I only select multiple users I see rock status for those users
      3. If I only select multiple teams it will show my rocks for the teams I am a member
      4. If I select teams + users I am shown rock status for ANY user that belongs to any selected TEAM
    2. Scorecard chart filters work differently:
      1. It doesn’t seem to matter what combination of filters I select, I will still see the same scorecard status metrics
  3. I am the only person who can see this dashboard right now

  1. I created a dashboard (LT team of which I am not a member)
    • correct! But you probably just named it “LT” and you can change the name by clicking on the pencil icon in the black bar.
  2. I created 2 charts: rocks, scorecard
    1. Rocks chart : correct on all!
      1. If I select no filter, only my rock status is reported
      2. If I only select multiple users I see rock status for those users
      3. If I only select multiple teams it will show my rocks for the teams I am a member
      4. If I select teams + users I am shown rock status for ANY user that belongs to any selected TEAM
    2. Scorecard chart filters work differently:correct! Are you looking at a graph for a specific measurable? Those you cant really filter because its just an item from the scorecard, so really the only thing to control is time frame.
      1. It doesn’t seem to matter what combination of filters I select, I will still see the same scorecard status metrics
  3. I am the only person who can see this dashboard right now correct!

These are great questions! I am updating these help articles based on them and creating one related to the user roles and what they will see!

Super appreciate it!
